Radioactive Moon Wasps Deliver 252.65% Profit!

First, let’s just acknowledge the fact that the headline of this story was the best one you’ve read in a long time. Yeah, I said it! Now, how did I think up such a headline, you ask? Well, because there were two stories I saw in recent days that prompted my primate brain to do the connecting. One headline was scarily compelling, and the other helped make my subscribers a 252.65% profit in just seven weeks! Let me explain.

The first headline was from the always salacious New York Post, which read: “Radioactive wasp nests at South Carolina nuclear weapons site raise worries about possible contamination, leaks.” The article could be fodder for a superhero film, one in which the “Wasp Man” is bitten by a radioactive wasp and then somehow acquires stingy superpowers with which he can use to combat the forces of evil.

According to the Post, “Investigators found ‘hot’ nests inside a nuclear weapons facility in South Carolina, with scientists warning it could be evidence of either a leak or contamination that wasn’t previously detected.”

But fear not, however, as the Department of Energy has come out and “assured” the public that the nests are not believed to pose a risk to workers or the surrounding community. Hmmm? I wonder if these officials went to the same communication training class as the government officials who told us there was no chance that Covid-19 was caused by a lab leak in Wuhan, China? But hey, I digress.

Now, on to the second, and more important headline, which is the one I saw yesterday in my former employer’s publication, Investor’s Business Daily, which read: “Nuclear Stocks Take Off On Key Earnings Report As Trump Targets Moon Reactor.”

Yes, a nuclear reactor on the moon! What’s next, nuclear moon wasps?

Of course, both of these headlines (radioactive wasps and the nuclear reactor on the moon) are legitimate, but only one actually resulted in a big profit for subscribers to my Jim Woods’ Tactical Trader service.

You see, the article in Investor’s Business Daily was more about stocks in the nuclear sector soaring in part due to reports that Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will announce plans this week to build a nuclear reactor on the moon (yes, you read that correctly). The article points out that this is the latest example of the Trump White House’s support for nuclear power, and I will go on record here as saying that I am in support of the Trump administration’s pro-nuclear stance.

Nuclear energy has long been demonized by the “no nukes” crowd, but unjustly, in my view, as nuclear power is the cleanest form of sustainable power, power that is constant regardless of weather conditions, and that is becoming increasingly cost-effective, especially if onerous government restrictions are lifted.

But hey, here is the real info I know you want to know, and that is how did I manage to capture a 252.65% profit for my subscribers using this nuclear news?

The answer is that back in June, I identified a tactical trading opportunity in the nuclear sector via a company that manufactures nuclear components, develops nuclear technologies and services the nuclear industry. This company also provides special nuclear materials processing, environmental site restoration services, products and services. Moreover, the company is best known as the manufacturer of naval nuclear reactors, including related nuclear fuel, for the United States Navy’s submarines and aircraft carriers.

That company is BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT). When I recommended the shares to my Tactical Trader subscribers on June 17, the stock traded for $140.54. At that time, I also recommended the slightly out-of-the-money BWXT Nov. $145 call option, which traded for $12.25.

Seven weeks later, thanks to some outstanding earnings and the aforementioned “nukes on the moon” headline, we sold the BWXT common stock for $184.45, or a 31.53% gain. And as for those BWXT call options, well, we sold them at $43.20, which translated into that massive gain of 252.65%!

Now, achieving tactical gains like this for my subscribers is, in my opinion, a much better superpower than being able to sting my enemies with nuclear wasp venom.

Amazonian Wisdom

“Stress comes from ignoring things you shouldn’t be ignoring.”

— Jeff Bezos, Founder, Amazon.com

I recently watched an interview with Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, which I suspect was conducted sometime in the 1990s (Jeff was much younger, as we all were). The interview was interesting, but the biggest take away for me was the above pearl of, shall we say, “Amazonian” wisdom. This hit me hard, because I know that whenever I stress out about something, that thing is usually something I tend to ignore. And as I ignore it, it doesn’t go away. It just produces more stress. If this is true for you, then just stop ignoring your stress, because it won’t ignore you.
