My Favorite Under-the-Radar Stocks, Part II

In our last issue, I introduced you to the first of my favorite “under-the-radar” stocks. That stock was cryptocurrency platform play DeFi Technologies Inc. (OTC: DEFTF). You can read more about this company in the “In case you missed it section” or in last week’s online issue. On a side note, DEFTF is up nearly 7% since last week’s mention, so I suspect many readers might have picked up a few shares, so congratulations!

Today, I am going to give you two more under-the-radar favorites, both of which are current recommendations in my Investing Edge newsletter.

But before I get into the two new ones, let’s review what I mean by “under-the-radar.” Here I am referring to stocks that aren’t household names, and that don’t have gigantic market capitalization. And by “favorite,” I mean stocks with one or more of the following characteristics:

  1. A CEO/management team that I know personally (i.e., I’ve met them, had dinner with them, can call them on the phone right now).
  2. A business model and/or position in the marketplace I think offers a unique opportunity for investors to make big returns over time.
  3. The company/stock meets many of my fundamental and technical buying criteria.

First on today’s list is energy drink maker Safety Shot, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOT).

Safety Shot, and its revolutionary new beverage, Sure Shot, is a specialized energy drink that I think is poised for rapid growth in the $220 billion functional beverage market. It’s executing a proven, multi-channel growth strategy in a market of ravenous and high-spending consumers. What’s more, its leadership team is battle-tested with a proven track record in the beverage industry.

But what makes this product so unique?

Sure Shot contains a patented formula that is clinically proven to lower blood alcohol content by supporting the body’s metabolism, by replenishing electrolytes and by reducing the absorption of residual alcohol in the gut. In the process, it improves a person’s physical and mental feeling of well-being.

Sure Shot works by speeding up the body’s own processes, and clinical studies using breathalyzers and blood tests have shown it starts working in the body in as little as 30 minutes. Simply put, it helps people feel better faster, so they can enjoy a fun night out without paying the price the next morning — and it’s a game-changer with mass market potential.

I expect to see sizeable gains for early investors in SHOT, especially considering the broad-market and largely indiscriminate selling of late has made this stock even more attractive. Indeed, Investing Edge subscribers have already seen a big gain in SHOT, as we recommended the stock when it traded at 38 cents per share. Today, it trades at 51 cents per share, which translates into a gain of 34.2% since we bought on April 4.

For much more detailed information about Safety Shot, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOT), including the potential for this market, why the product is so unique and why I like this company so much (and why and how I use the product in my own nutrition program), then I invite you to read my detailed special report, “The Thinking Man’s Energy Drink: Your SHOT at Peak Performance and Peak Profits.”

The second stock on this week’s list is Healwell AI, Inc. (OTCQX: HWAIF).

As its name suggests, this Canadian health care technology firm is all about healing what ails us through the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Healwell AI describes its raison d’être in the following manner: “(We) are a health care technology company focused on AI and data science for preventative care. The mission is to improve healthcare and save lives through early identification and detection of disease.”

Using its own proprietary AI technology and competencies, which include data science, electronic health records and clinical research offerings, Healwell is developing and commercializing advanced clinical decision support systems that can help health care providers detect rare and chronic diseases, improve efficiency of their practice and ultimately help improve patient health outcomes.

One way to think about what Healwell does, although the analogy isn’t precise, is to think about visiting your doctor. You tell your doctor that you’ve been feeling a bit nauseous, lightheaded and lethargic of late. Then your doctor will ask you follow-up questions, process your data points mentally and then he will likely prescribe some medication and/or some further tests.

Now, think about visiting your doctor, but instead of simply one mind diagnosing you, you have the mind of the entire medical literature along with the real-world data of millions of patients with the same symptoms as you, and in the same demographic. The answer to your medical problem now comes from the efficacy of rational minds on digital steroids, minds fueled with the power of AI computation to predict the most efficacious solutions to your ailment.

Now, there is much more to Healwell AI than I can cover here. Fortunately, I have much more about this company, including my interview with CEO Dr. Alexander Dobranowski. I also get into much greater detail about the company in my special report, “Brave New World: The Healing Profit Power of AI.”

So, there you have it. Two more favorite under-the-radar stocks to go with last week’s under-the-radar favorite. Together, these three stocks (Safety Shot, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOT), Healwell AI, Inc. (OTCQX: HWAIF) and DeFi Technologies Inc. (OTC: DEFTF)) represent three interesting, fresh ideas for investors who want diversification from the same old worn-out names.

Where Genius Thrives

From the great beyond…

–R.E.M., “The Great Beyond

The band R.E.M., and particularly its lead singer/lyricist Michael Stipe, are big fans of the late comedian Andy Kaufman. Stipe has said that “The Great Beyond” is about “attempting the impossible, which… is what Andy Kaufman did with his entire career.” I really like this song, and I like the sentiment at its heart regarding “attempting the impossible.”

You see, some things in life are possible and some things are not possible. Yet it’s at the borderlands of possibility where genius thrives. Because genius often sees the line of “not possible,” and then just breaks right through it, remapping the landscape of possibility and expanding it for us all.

Wisdom about money, investing and life can be found anywhere. If you have a good quote that you’d like me to share with your fellow readers, send it to me, along with any comments, questions and suggestions you have about my newsletters, seminars or anything else. Click here to ask Jim.
