Macy’s CEO Stumping to Revitalize Company Revival

Macy’s CEO Stumping to Revitalize Company Revival (Bloomberg)

Terry Lundgren is the CEO of Macy’s, Inc., but you might confuse him with a candidate out on the campaign trail as he continues his 40-week road trip visiting his company’s individual stores. Unlike wall-to-wall election coverage of the trail, he’s conducting a stealth campaign, calling store managers 10 minutes before his arrival. In this way, he can verify stores stock what’s important to their clientele and personalize his company’s business. And it’s a plan that’s working. Over the last two years, Macy’s annual sales growth has blown past rivals like Kohl’s and Penny’s. So, speaking as an investor, nothing’s better than personalized profits.
