Insider Buying and 6.2 Percent Yield Make STAG a Stud (DividendChannel)

STAG International, Inc. (STAR) is a Boston-based, real estate investment trust (REIT) that could be the next star of the sector very soon. At least that’s what company insiders think. Since December, eight of them have purchased nearly 10,000 shares at market price. Given the company’s recent history, who can blame them for loading up? In the last 26 months, STAR’s share price has risen more than 143 percent with more than 21 percent of that gain since December alone! In addition, STAG’s Board of Directors approved a 5% dividend increase to lift its annualized yield to 6.2%. When you have insiders climbing over each other to acquire shares, combined with a rising dividend, you have a very attractive investment. That’s STAG.
