First, our Potash (POT) September $70 call options closed up just under 52%. Because these options are nearing expiration, let’s exit our entire position here.
Second, Brazil’s CVRD (RIO) also recovered strongly — as did our recommended September $45 options. Let’s sell all of our remaining options here to lock in a solid 57% gain. (Remember, we’ve already averaged triple-digit percentage gains on CVRD options from two previous trades!)
Finally, heavy equipment maker Terex (TEX) soared 7.37% on last week’s strong earnings. With the October $90 call options showing gains of more than 56%, let’s sell all of our remaining options here to lock in some well-earned profits.
Note that I expect to hold on to each of these strong-performing stocks over the next few weeks. And I also expect to recommend additional options on each of these once the market settles. But during choppy times like these, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
Or as they say on Wall Street: "Bulls, bears make money. But pigs get slaughtered."
