U.K. Economy Grows at Fastest Rate in Three Years (Reuters)

According to England’s office for National Statistics, between July and September of this year, the country’s economy grew by 0.8 percent, the fastest rate since 2010. This gives the former laggard economy an annualized growth rate of more than 3 percent, making it one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. The unexpected turnaround has buoyed the hopes of the country’s government and strengthened the British pound against the dollar. Even though Stanley Tombs, an economist with Capital Economics, doesn’t see the growth rate increasing any further, this surprising growth could be enough to spur new investing in the United Kingdom. Does it do the trick for you?
