Overdraft free checking at Bank of America (Reuters)
Bank of America is considering a checking account option which would prevent customers from overdrawing at ATMs or processing an automatic bill payment. Bank of America would be the first big bank to create such an option. In 2011, Bank of America paid $410 million to settle its part in a class-action suit alleging that numerous lenders charged excessive overdraft fees.
